2008

ZoomWare 1.0 is released, providing high quality xFont magnification at a reduced cost. ZoomWare replaces BigShot.

2007

ZoomText 9.1 is released, featuring support for dual monitors and Windows Vista.

2005

ZoomText 9.0 is released, featuring high-definition text enlargement (patent-pending xFont technology) and human-quality speech (NeoSpeech).

2003

ZoomText 8.0 is released, setting a new standard in magnification and screen reading software.

2001

ZoomText Xtra 7.1 and BigShot 2.1 were released, the first screen magnifiers to support Windows XP.

2000

Ai Squared’s first mass-market product BigShot magnifier was released.

1999

ZoomText 7.0 was released, the first accessibility product to support all Windows operating systems in a single package.

1997

Ai Squared released ZoomText Xtra 6.0 with integrated magnification and screen reading. This product opened up new markets and blurred the line between low-vision and blindness products.

1995

ZoomText 5.0 was released, featuring support for Windows 95.

1993

VisAbility, the first software product for enlarging printed material was released.

1992

Ai Squared moved to southern Vermont.

1991

ZoomText Plus, the first product to bring screen magnification to the Windows operating system was released.

1988

The company’s flagship product ZoomText was released. As the popularity of ZoomText grew, the company focus shifted exclusively to the development and marketing of software for the visually impaired.

1985

Algorithmic Implementations, Inc. (d.b.a. Ai Squared) was founded in Atlanta, Georgia, USA by Ben Weiss. At the time the company had one employee and specialized in contract programming.
