Living Full Out
Nancy Solari is a motivational speaker, life coach and #1 best-selling author who mentors entrepreneurs, business owners, professional speakers, and people with disabilities. She also happens to be a ZoomText user!
Diagnosed at age 16 with Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP), Nancy just couldn’t imagine what it was going to be like to gradually lose her sight. The doctors told her that every couple of years her eyesight would worsen, and unfortunately, they were right. It started with losing some nighttime vision, and then it progressed so far that she was forced to give up driving. Today Nancy is legally blind – most of her vision is blurry, and blind spots make it increasingly difficult to see.
“It was often frightening and frustrating – sometimes seeming to be an insurmountable challenge,” says Nancy. “As my eyesight worsened, I scrambled to find ways to function. As a real estate professional, much of my time was spent on the computer. It truly was a constant struggle…until I found ZoomText.”
Nancy first heard about ZoomText while at a conference for the visually impaired. She was very intrigued and was amazed by how much easier it made going online, reading email, and writing documents. Nancy hasn’t let her vision impairment stop her from living her life “full out”. She has taken a proactive stance in her vision loss by volunteering for organizations like the Foundation Fighting Blindness, and has participated in studies researching cures for retinal diseases. She has worked for Good Morning America and Entertainment Tonight, had a successful music career, and is currently in her ninth year of being a top realtor in Southern California.
“As a business owner, I rely heavily on email, the Internet, and composing in Word,” says Nancy. “ZoomText has become an essential part of my everyday life.”
Nancy not only owns and operates a successful business, but also focuses her energy on professional speaking, and with great success. Currently, Nancy hosts Against All Odds on the WIN Online Network, and will soon be hosting a radio show on KFWB called Living Full Out, which we are sponsoring!
