Hi,

i am running also into the issue with ATI Control panel and ZT8. A couple of older posts provided a workaround , the deinstallation of the ATI Control panel. This prevents the Bluescreen after logging on, but i am not be able to display the properties of the Display via clicking right on the desktop -> again bluescreen

How is the status for this bug? When will be a fix available ?

It looks not good , if the market leader of Magbnify software does not supporrt the cards of the market leader graphics cards ATI.

Which current graphics cards are fully supported and tested and maybe certified by your team ?

Thanks for your time ronald

The problem you are running into is due the secondary port on your video card. When you click on the Settings tab within Display Properties your system goes into a mode change, and tries to enable that second monitor. ZoomText does not currently support dual monitors, so this mode change is causing your computer to reboot.

To prevent this from happening you would want to disable the secondary display adapter from Control Panel. This can be done through the steps below.
1. Click the Windows Start button.
2. Choose Control Panel.
3. If the Control Panel is set to show categories, choose Performance and Maintenance. (If the Control Panel is set to Classic View, skip to step 4.)
4. Choose the System icon.
5. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Hardware tab.
6. Click the Device Manager button.
7. Double click 'Display adapters'.
8. Right click on the device 'ATI Radeon xxxx Secondary'.
9. Select Disable from the list.
10. Restart your computer.

You should now be able to access the Settings tab.
