Hi all,

I use a program called FullShot 9 for capturing screenshots from my computer. It has significant functionality over the standard features built into Windows.

History:
While running ZoomText 8.1 I could use FullShot 9 no problem, no hangups...no issues

I recently moved to ZoomText 9.1 and when I try to take a screen capture with FullShot 9, the ZoomText window stops moving and I have to reboot my computer to regain functionality. The weird thing is that it's only ZoomText that stops working. I can still hear my music playing, but just can't move my mouse on the screen.

So my questions are:
1. is there anything I can do to make ZoomText more compatible with this software?
2. When zoomText completely stops responding and I can't move my mouse on the screen, but everything else seems to be working OK, is there a way I can exit ZoomText without a cold reboot?

Thanks in advance for the help!
Steve

Hi Steve,
Here is a suggestion that may help you.
When the freezing occurs and you can't move the mouse try pressing the keys CTL + Alt + Del and when the task manager comes up use the tab key to go to the program not responding such as Zoom Text and press enter to end task. Hope this helps.

Hello Steve,

Can you please describe the kind of enviroment you had set when you encoutered this problem with ZoomText9.1 and FullShot9?

What kind of Operating System?
Are you running any other programs besides ZoomText and FullShot?
Besides updating to ZoomText 9.1 have there been any other kinds of changes to the computer (software or hardware installed)?

If possible:
What kind of video card?
How much RAM and Hard Drive Space?

We want to gather as much information as possible as we will have to try to create the enviroment you encountered this problem to see if there is a solution to the problem. Thanks.

Take care,

James

Hi,
If you haven't done so already, try making a shortcut so you can start ZT easily, and then when the screen freezes try starting ZT with this key. This works for me in similar situations (such as in uTorrent). So somehow although ZT is already running, starting it again makes the screen unfreeze.
