Hi fellow Zoomers,

For those who are running the ZoomText 9 demo or have bought the retail version; what do you think of it so far? Are you satisfied with the new features and it's performance? How could we improve ZoomText for the next update or major upgrade?

We worked very hard to ensure that it's of the highest quality and I'd love to know what everyone thinks either way. :D Thanks!

I love it! I can't say enough; speech and text is so very clear! Tracking is better than version 7 or 8 (but needs some options or adjusting), Color Enhancement is still great!, typing echo is good now. All my videos are enlarged now. The Application Settings used with Static window is a great way to be in two places at once. = I like seeing the Status Bar in AOL, FireFox, or Internet Explorer.

The only real problems are;
- ToolTip echo & tracking needs work;
- I can't type in this forum without setting a TRACK INSIDE AREA only setting. and
- After a many calls Doc.Reader locks up my system.

Over all, AiSquared has done great things for me! I could not use the computer without Zoom Text!

I've always liked zoomtext since I aqcuired it. The interface of 8 seemed promising but in the beginning there were some internal technical probs that prevented me from having the good experience which the interface represents, Mainly Iwas fighting with activation and dcm chain issues.

It seems that In 9.0 you don't have to reboot half as much as in 8 so that was also a good thing when updating graphics drivers... the new xfont and zones feature are really great for me..

Hi Cosmic D,

Glad you got those Jaws and DCM Chain issues worked out! I assume you reported them to Ai Squared during testing? I know they want to make ZoomText 9.0 work as well as possible with Jaws.

Hi, All!

I am new to the fourn. I really am impressed with all of the features that Zoom Text has. I really like Zoom Text it has helped me out a lot. I have been using Zoom Text for 5 years now. I really have to hand it to the people at AI2 they did a really good job with Zoom Text 9.0.

I love the new 9 .1very much. I can actually see the differences quite well since I am in the process of setting up a new computer my 3rd one over the 10 years since I found Zoomtext. So if not for Zoomtext I would not be able to be ont he computer and who I am today working from home full time on my computer all day.

With 8.1 still in the older computer and 9.1 in this one I can see the differences. Like above I don't need to reboot nearly as much anymore. I love Kate the best I can hear what she says a lot more then the others.

I do find though the mouse ecco at times to be slower then me and the typing ecco as well falls behind me as I type or does not read when in forms like this one or some spots. I am sure as time goes this will improve and be able to keep up with me.

All in all a much needed improvement and Thank YOU all for doing what you do for us.

I am lucky to use only the Magnifier part. It works very well and is an improvement regarding fonts. Edge joint. Pleasure to read words. Havent tried it in flash player? e.g animation formats yet.

We need a Windows server, exchange edition soon.

Greetings Paul,
I have used the full version of Zoomtext 9.0 and I enjoy it a lot, because of the improved non-robotic sounding speech software of Paul the default DocReader in reading stories on the internet as well as the X-Font which is so nice and clear for using the 16 magnification on different webpages.
