Firefox: I found some pretty interesting info on Mozilla's KB regarding Firefox and accessability. I'm sure this will interest some power users: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Category:Acce ... Firefox%29

Regards,
Shawn

Thanks for the info.
I saw that it said zoomtext 9 is partially compatible with Firefox and that's true. Is zoomtext having any plans to fix that? Because you know later or sooner more and more people are going to switch to Firefox.

Yes i second that, i am a firefox user myself and i believe zoomtext has a responsibility to be compatible with it considering its obvious superiority over IE7 and its ever increasing large user base.

Yes Ai Squared will would like ZoomText to support FireFox to be the same as FireFox. That will happen in a future release. I cannot say exactly what release and when but I think it will happen at some point.

Count me in too.

I am still using Firefox 1.5.0.3 as there is a serious issue bwtween ZoomText 9 and all later Firefox releases. This causes Firefox to crash frequently, requiring the firefox.exe process to be killed in Task Manager (Win2000) before Firefox can be restarted. Not exactly convenient.

I don't care to think of the resulting security implications. Come on, AI2, its months since I was promised there would be some action. It would be nice if AppReader and Mouse Echo worked reliably in Firefox too.

Just a quick followup on some of the issues Allan had mentioned:

From what we've tested, all MSAA related issues should be resolved in the latest version of FireFox 2.00.1. We've tested a number of sites that had failed previously due to MSAA and confirm that the problem no longer exists.

Regards,

I dunno, the reader works ok, other then spoken typing doesn't always say all the words I type.

the magnifier is the biggest issue I have with firefox. Occasionally, I'll get some ghosting effects, esp on bulletin boards, when I scroll down, the previous text will ghost over new text.

I noticed that happening since I first installed the trial version, though it seems to be worse in 9.1 for some reason.

Thank you for sharing this information Shawn.
I have been a Zoomtext user since High School and I have recently started using Firefox which I can say is much better than I.E. 8, for example the font size stays in place with Firefox and with I.E. 8 I have to manually re-adjust the font size which gets hard at times, because the words stretch too much and then I can't read them too well.
