Hi,

I work in I.T. for a charity that supports users of Zoomtext and other accessibility software.

We are having some problems with the screen resolution in Windows resetting itself to 800 x 600. This causes Zoomtext to run very slowly. If it is set to a higher resolution everything is fine. But when the same user logs on again the resolution has reset itself back to 800 x 600 and we're back where we started. This doesn't happen with any other user on the same machine or any other user on any of our other systems.

This is setup on a local login that only this user uses so I don't think anyone else is changing it. As far as I know windows should \"remember\" the display settings each time the user logs on.

I'm just wondering if there are any settings in Zoomtext (v 9.1) that might be causing this. Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

John

Hello John,

I am not aware of any issues that ZoomText would change the resolution of a screen display. The only thing I can think of would be to maybe logon that PC under this specific user with Admin privileges and change the resolution settings to what you want it to be then save the settings. Thanks.

Take care,

James

Hi James,

Thanks for replying to me. I will try that. I had/have a feeling it's not Zoomtext. However keep finding odd and unanticipated behaviour with other accessibility software that I guess I shouldn't mention here!

Thanks again,

John
