|ZoomText with Kurzweil: Expired license and/or license verification error||
If ZoomText and Kurzweil (1000 or 3000) are installed on the same computer, ZoomText speech may say “Your license has expired” or “You do not have a valid license verification file. This version is strictly for demonstration purposes only.” This problem is due to ZoomText and Kurzweil installing different versions of NeoSpeech synthesizers.
|Unexpected Loss of ZoomText Activation||When launching ZoomText, you may get "ZoomText Not Activated" when it has already been activated on the PC. An attempt to activate ZoomText yields the following error:
Error code: 0 0-0
|Activation Error: “You have entered a domestic ZoomText serial number . . .”||
When attempting to activate ZoomText, the following error message appears:
"You have entered a domestic ZoomText serial number. An International serial number is required to activate ZoomText on this system. Please enter an International serial number and try again."
|Activation Error “4: 15 -0” while attempting to activate ZoomText 9.0 on machines runnin||
On systems running Proventia Desktop security software, when attempting to activate ZoomText 9.0 an activation error dialog appears with error code “4: 15-0”.
|Activation Error 50-12 while attempting to activate ZoomText 9.0 District Licenses||
When attempting to activate a ZoomText 9.0 District License, or transfer the activation license back to Ai Squared's activation server, an Activation Error dialog with error code 50-12 is displayed.
|ZoomText hangs or crashes when running ZoneAlarm or eTrust EZ Firewall||
On systems containing Windows 2000 or NT4, if ZoneAlarm or eTrust EZ Firewall are running, starting a ZoomText trial will cause the system to hang or crash. When this occurs a ZT.exe error message also appears.
This problem is caused by incompatibility between ZoomText's trial protection mechanism and the firewall software (ZoneAlarm or eTrust EZ Firewall).

|About ZoomText 9 Product Activation||

|Online activation of ZoomText fails in Windows NT4||
In Windows NT4, ZoomText's online product activation may fail if Microsoft Internet Explorer v3 or later is not installed on the system.
|About ZoomText 8 Product Activation||
International single-user versions of ZoomText 8.01 and later contain Internet-based activation technology, which requires you to activate your copy of ZoomText in order to use it. Once you have installed ZoomText, you have 60 days to activate the program. When this period expires, you will not be able to use ZoomText until you activate it.
|ZoomText activation failures in Windows XP||
In Windows XP, after successfully activating ZoomText (international single-user versions only) you are prompted to activate again after a short period of time — days, weeks or months. Over time, the problem repeats itself, until eventually you are unable to reactivate your product.
