This problem is due to an incompatibility between ZoomText and Acer TouchMusic which comes with this computer.

Installing ZoomText 8.0 and 8.1 on the same system

ZoomText 8.0x and 8.1x can both be installed on the same system - although you can only run one at a time. However, if ZoomText 8.0 is subsequently removed from the system, you may encounter the following behavior:

Running ZoomText Xtra (v7) and JAWS in Windows XP, 2000 or NT 4.0

ZoomText Xtra (v7) and JAWS can co-exist in Windows XP, 2000 and NT 4.0; as long as ZoomText is installed first. In Windows XP you must be running ZoomText 7.11 or later. In Windows 2000 and NT 4.0 you must be running ZoomText 7.10 or later.
