When running ZoomText 9.04 or earlier with Libera's System 7 case management software (web based), ZoomText would fail to track and speak many items in the case management screens.

ZoomText will not echo and/or track to the selected cell after switching from one instance of Microsoft Excel to another.

When using NeoSpeech to read documents in DocReader, increasing or decreasing the reading rate while continuously reading a document does not immediately take effect. DocReader keeps reading with the same rate until the user pauses and restarts DocReader, or DocReader pages to a new section of text.

On systems containing French or German versions of Windows XP, 2000 or NT4, and utilizing the NTFS file system; the following errors may occur when attempting to run ZoomText:

"ZoomText is not properly installed. Please run the installation program again."

These errors occur because the user does not have required execution privileges for the following files:

ZoomText installation hangs/freezes or does not complete installation successfully.

When the demo version of the ScanSoft Steffi speech synthesizer is selected in ZoomText 9.0, ZoomText crashes causing the system to hang.

Occasionally, the ViaVoice speech synthesizer will incorrectly pronounce a word. Most often, this problem occurs with words that have unusual spellings – such as proper names, acronyms, and abbreviations.

The Neospeech speech synthesizers installed with ZoomText becomes disabled when Eclipse Writer's Daisy Talking Book software or Kurzweil 3000/1000 is installed over ZoomText. In addition, if you uninstall either ZoomText or Kurzweil/Eclipse Writer software, Neospeech synthesizers that were installed with other software becomes unavailable for use.

This problem occurs on a Windows 98/ME system with both ZoomText and Dolphin SuperNova 6.5 installed. The error occurs on ZoomText startup, when it tries to initialize the Dolphin speech engine. Windows 9x and ME do not provide the proper Unicode support for Dolphin’s speech synthesizer.

When using ZoomText Magnifier/ScreenReader with the ViaVoice speech synthesizer, if a period followed by a dash is sent to ViaVoice (such as instances used in references to Swiss currency reference, e.g. "Fr. 1,950.-"), the system may lockup, requiring a power off reboot.  This problem occurs because ViaVoice does not know how to process occurrences of a period followed by a dash.
