KB: Possible errors if system not restarted after installing BigShot

PROBLEM
When installing BigShot, the Setup program may prompt you to restart the system. This step is necessary to complete the installation of the updated system components. If you choose not to restart the system and attempt to run BigShot, you may encounter the following errors:
- The SLP.DLL file is linked to missing export MFC42.DLL
- A device attached to the system is not functioning
SOLUTION
To avoid these errors, be sure to restart the system when completing the installation of BigShot (if prompted to do so by the Setup program).
