The information in this article applies to:
- International single-user versions of ZoomText 8.01 and later
International single-user versions of ZoomText 8.01 and later contain Internet-based activation technology, which requires you to activate your copy of ZoomText in order to use it. Once you have installed ZoomText, you have 60 days to activate the program. When this period expires, you will not be able to use ZoomText until you activate it.
Activating ZoomText
Prior to activation, each time you start ZoomText the Activation dialog will appear. This dialog indicates the remaining days before activation is required and allows you to initiate product activation. If you have an Internet connection, select Activate Online - otherwise select Activate Manually.
- Activate Online ZoomText will automatically connect to our activation server and transfer your product serial number and system code. An activation key is passed back to your computer, activating ZoomText. This process normally takes just a few seconds to complete.
- Activate Manually Your ZoomText serial number and system code are displayed. With this information you can use an Internet connection on another computer to obtain an activation key - from the ZoomText activation website, http://www.aisquared.com/support/more/manual_activation/. If you are unable to access the Internet, contact your local dealer and provide your serial number and system code. Once you receive the activation key, enter it in the Activation Key field and select the Activate button
Registering ZoomText
By activating ZoomText, you will also become a registered user of ZoomText and will be entitled to low-cost upgrades and our Service Maintenance Agreement (SMA). Contact your local dealer for more details.
