KB: System hangs when selecting ScanSoft Steffi speech synthesizer

- ScanSoft Steffi (also known as RealSpeak Steffi) - female German speech synthesizer
PROBLEM
When the demo version of the ScanSoft Steffi speech synthesizer is selected in ZoomText 9.0, ZoomText crashes causing the system to hang.
DETAILS
There is a known compatibility problem with ScanSoft Steffi synthesizer and ZoomText 9 -- when ZoomText and/or Steffi synthesizer are running in trial (demo) mode. Selecting Steffi in this scenario will cause an Access Violation crash, and the system needs to be rebooted manually.
SOLUTION
This problem does not occur if both ZoomText and ScanSoft Steffi synthesizer are activated (purchased versions).
