PROBLEM

When using ZoomText 9.1 with the current releases of Microsoft Word 2007, Excel 2007 and Outlook 2007, you may experience poor performance with ZoomText's typing echo and tracking. These problems are due to changes in Word, Excel and Outlook.

SOLUTION

Solutions for these problems are now available by obtaining and installing Word and Excel hot fixes (available from Microsoft) and the ZoomText 9.12 update. Note: The Word hot fix also fixes the typing echo and tracking problem in Outlook 2007.

To obtain the Word and Excel hot fixes, call Microsoft support at 1-800-642-7676 and ask for the KB937200 and KB937209 hot fixes. For more information on these hot fixes, see the following Microsoft knowledge base articles:

Word hot fix - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937200
Excel hot fix - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/937209

To obtain the ZoomText 9.12 update, after installing ZoomText, go to the Windows Start menu and choose Start > Programs > ZoomText > Check for Updates . This action will initiate ZoomText's online updating. When the update installation is complete restart your system.
