The latest version of ZoomText, 9.1, delivers innovative magnification features that allow low vision computer users to see, hear and use their computer with greater comfort and productivity. Below you find a list of the powerful features introduced in ZoomText 9.1. With the clearest text, and now twice the magnified view, ZoomText 9.1 is the clear choice.
Support for Windows 7
ZoomText 9.1 offers robust support for the latest and greatest in Windows operating systems, Windows 7. This allows you to make your computing experience safer, more reliable, and more responsive.
Smooth Panning
Smooth panning provides you with a smooth, clean vision experience when working with ZoomText at a large magnification. As you move around the computer screen, ZoomText will keep all the text crisp and keep the view from jumping and causing visual discomfort. This feature provides a natural panning motion that keeps the focus in view as you move around the screen. As you type text, navigate menus, dialogs and other program controls, the magnified view stays with you wherever you’re working. You can also enable “smooth mouse panning” to move more quickly around your screen using your mouse.
Built-in Scripting Support
The new built-in scripting feature allows you to customize the behavior of ZoomText and other applications, providing more informative visual and audible feedback, automation of tasks, and improved speed and efficiency while working. The scripting feature puts the power of customizing ZoomText into your hands. Customized scripts can be written by any experienced script writer, and pre-made scripts will be available for download at a later date.
Dual Monitor Support
Now you can utilize two monitors to “expand your magnified view”. At any magnification level you can now have twice as much information in view at all times, cutting down on the amount of scrolling necessary to see everything on screen. You can also use the second screen to share a magnified or unmagnified view of your desktop with another person or group.
Note: Dual Monitor Support is available in Windows Vista and XP only.
Focus Enhancements
The Focus enhancement feature makes it easy to locate and follow along when you tab and arrow key through menus, dialogs, tool bars, and other application controls. When a control has focus, a bright, colorful rectangle or underline is placed around or under the control, making selection of controls much clearer.
